family time

Well the weekend is finally here. I am trying to make the most of what little family time I actually get. Top said we have been getting maximum family time. I guess his idea of family time is getting home in time to watch our kids go to bed. Hopefully it will get better.

50 cal

The 50 cal was a lot of fun. I went out today rather than yesterday. It worked out for the best, instead of negative temps it was a balmy 25 degrees. Talk about a heatwave.LOL. I really did have a good time at the range. There is nothing quite like shooting a m2.

getting ready for a range

In the morning I am going to a 50 cal range. Temps are going to be below zero. We will be dressing warm, hopefully the range will not last all day. They will have the warming tents set up, it shouldn't be too bad. We train hard and in difficult situations because somebody, somewhere is training to try to get us.

preparing for deployment

Well, I am sitting right at 3 weeks until I deploy to Iraq. The closer it gets the more it consumes my thoughts. While I hate to leave my family for a year, I am excited about going. Getting ready for church this morning. Trying to make the most out of my last few weeks with my family.
